Only applicable to subscribers currently paying with PayPal.
Due to restrictions between PayPal and Stripe, Pico is unable to import any payment information from PayPal. Subscribers who are currently paying with PayPal will be given new Pico accounts, but their subscriptions will no longer auto-renew. These users will have full access to the benefits associated with their plan until the end of their billing cycle.
We recommend making your PayPal subscribers aware of this in anticipation of the migration. Once the migration is complete, you can send a follow-up email asking them to restart their subscription with a new payment method.
Subject: "Your subscription is ending"
Dear Reader,
We are writing to inform you that we are in the process of upgrading our subscription system. Unfortunately, we will no longer be able to accept payments made with PayPal once the upgrade is complete. This means after the migration completes your subscription will not auto-renew. You will still have full access to your subscription until the end date. To prevent your subscription from automatically cancel at period end we recommend you provide new card payment details in your account.
We will inform you as soon as the transition completes with more information. Please let us know if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
[Your Name]
